It is a light-yellow gold plating. I washed my hands with it and the plating still intact and shiny. I was attracted to it immediately because of the green, the different shape of stones and the size of the stones as I love wearing rings on my middle fingers so big stones are more suitable. I bought 1 size up (bought 8 instead of my usual 7) as I thought need a bigger size to fit the middle finger but it was not necessary since the band is thin. Thank goodness, I could press the band smaller because it is not a full band. But, a 7 would have been ideal.
